Elbony Capri get your feet off the sofa!

I had a customer today whose name was Elbony.
(I really could just end this entry right now. I find the name so funny I could leave it at that.)
Her middle name?
Capri.

My friend Cindy used to keep a list of funny names that she came across. I am officially thieving that idea and I am going to start posting the funniest names I come across....

hey! maybe a contest is in order ...leave the funniest name you have come across in the comments and I'll pick a monthly winner and the winner will get nothing!

Whenever I come across a funny name, I always suggest it to any friend that is pregnant. I said to Scarlet the other day "have you thought about naming the baby Astrology or Beyonce or Peaches White"

oh...one more comment, if I have anymore kids--maybe I could name it Ennui Niebauer and people will say "Ennui...are you french" and I will say "no...just bored"

Way to one-up me...your comment was funnier than the original post. Ennui Niebauer...I like it. Better than Makita Purchase even.

OK today I took back a girl named Shellsea. Not Chelsea, Shellsea. Yea. So I have to go into the waiting room and call out this name. Try it, sounds like Chelsea with a cleft lip. And I can't shout out to all the other patients, It's spelled that way! cuz you just can't do that..( She probably sells sea shells by the sea shore too) sorry couldn't help the last part.

this brings up one of my constant internal battles. anytime i look slightly foolish in front of strangers i want to explain myself...but what do I care what they think? And maybe i am doing some other blogger a disservice...right now somebody is writing a blog making fun of this nurse with a speech impediment...

Thank you....

And today I get Si' Era Carshay. At least it was pronounced Sierra. Why is it that people feel the need to take a perfectly normal name and screw with it. Add extra dashes, apostrophe's, etc.?? Wasn't sure if I was supposed to put an extra emphasis on the first or last part..sometimes they get really mad that you don't pronounce their weird new 'made up' name correctly..I don't get it.
